Toys Coming to Australia!
We've got some cool news for penguins down under who have been asking for Club Penguin toys! For all of you who've been waiting so patiently, Limited Edition Penguins, Mix N' Match Figures, and Pet Puffles will finally be available in Australia and New Zealand starting mid-June! Australia will also see the first set of the Card-Jitsu Trading Cards soon!
In Australia, you can check out the toys at Toys"R"Us, and then later on at Kmart. In New Zealand, you'll find them at Farmers.
On June 9th, if you're in or around the Moore Park Toys"R"Us in Sydney, we want you to help your Club Penguin community celebrate their arrival by attending a special event:
Where: Toys"R"Us, Retail Supa Centre, Moore Park, NSW, 2033
What day: Tuesday, June 9th, 2009
What time: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Let us know what you think! For those of us who can't be in Sydney to celebrate, we can still cheer for our "down under" community. Why not have your own party - meet your friends at the Iceberg and celebrate - just for fun!

Hello Penguins!
Some of you have noticed some changes around the island. It seems that helping Rockhopper move the plants to the Beach has caused something unexpected to occur!! What do you think of all the green in Club Penguin right now? I don't want to give anything away, but I think we should stay tuned and keep our eyes on these plants...
You'll find the new Snow and Sports catalog at the Sport Shop today, and members will also discover some new music for their igloos. Some of you told us that you wanted music from the Dance Contest game and DJ3K - let me know if you can figure out which ones are from the games!!

Screenhog on The Club Penguin Times
Every Thursday, there's a new edition of our favorite newspaper, the Club Penguin Times. Believe it or not, the Club Penguin Times is quite amazing because it's the only thing that has been updated every week, without fail, since Club Penguin began. It takes a really long time to write from start to finish. There's sketching, drawing, coloring, writing, joke and riddle collecting, and a lot of other stuff that goes into every single newspaper in Club Penguin. It's a lot of work!
If you're a fan of the Club Penguin Times, you'll notice that this is the first week ever that we're doing a dot to dot puzzle. What do you think?
We also wanted to give you the heads up that today's the last Reviewed by You question in the Club Penguin Times. It's moving to the blog! So the answer to this week's Reviewed by You question will be published on Thursday, June 11 - and after this week, you can look for the new questions and answers right here on the blog.
Have a great day, and don't forget to check the Boiler Room to see if there are any editions you've missed!
Until then...Waddle on!

adventure party sneak peak!
Dojo igloo contest!
Ninja decorators wanted! A while ago I told you about the Dojo igloo decorating contest that's coming up - and now it's time for the "official" announcement! We wanted to let you know that from June 1- 13 the team will be looking for the coolest Dojo igloo on the island. Will it be yours?
To enter, all you have to do is decorate your Dojo igloo in a very creative, ninja-like way. Here's an example (but yours will be even more awesome, I'm sure!):
There will be 20 winners total. If your igloo is chosen as a grand prize winner, you'll get 25,000 coins. If it's a runner up, you'll get 15,000 coins. Winners will be announced in the June 18 issue of the Club Penguin Times!
Don't forget that before you can get the igloo from the Martial Artworks catalog in the Ninja Hideout, you'll need to have your black belt and the ninja mask.
Until then...Waddle on!

I met rockhopper!!
fluffy54605's a ninja!
Captain Rockhopper's Here!
Why are pirates the way they are?
They just ARRRRRR!!
Well, he's arrived! Captain Rockhopper, our favorite pirate penguin, is here! And have you seen what he's brought with him on the Migrator? Head down to the Beach and check it out. And don't forget your coins, because there are some cool things that you may want to add to your inventory.... Let us know what you think!
If you're short on coins to get all the pirate treasure you're after, there's a Treasure Hunt game you and your friends can play in the Captain's Quarters (only when the Migrator is docked in Club Penguin)! And if you're up for a really serious pirate adventure, try to hunt for Rockhopper while he's here. He loves meeting his penguin mateys, so if you're very lucky, you might just see him out and about on the island!
Until then...Waddle on!
Card-Jitsu Updates Coming!
You've told us you love Card-Jitsu and the ninja journey. You've told us it would be even better if you could see your belt progress. You've told us it would be really cool to be able to see your online card collection. (Did we mention we think you're awesome for telling us what you think?)
So...the team's been working hard with the feedback you gave and soon, when you're in the ninja areas (Dojo, Ninja Hideout, Courtyard), you'll see a new card deck icon. When you click it, a Card-Jitsu board will pop up with your ninja information. Just like you requested, you'll be able to see how close you are to your next belt color and you'll also be able to see your online card collection!!
As always, we really love to hear what you think. So keep letting us know!
Until then...Waddle on!

Happy77 talks writing plays!
Everyone seems to be excited about having a new play at the Stage and we thought an interview with someone who did some of the writing for it would be in order. So without further fuss, here's the scoop on [insert ghosty sounds here]: The Haunting of the Viking Opera! (Don't be scared. They're not super scary ghost noises...)
Tell us what it's like to write a Club Penguin play from the first idea until you see it on Stage.
It's epic! It starts with an idea like: "Hey! How about a play about Vikings?" and starts snowballing. One minute you have a script, then suddenly you have costumes, a set, music, the works! It's cool when an idea comes to life.
What's the coolest part of this Haunting of the Viking Opera play?
Well it's sort of like "Vikings versus Ghosts", which is a tough one to call. Ghosts are spooky, but Vikings have those pointy-helmets. Both are exciting, doing ghost-y and Viking-y things. Oh man, could you imagine a Viking Ghost? I think I just scared myself!
Do you think Vikings ate candy?
Most definitely. I'm pretty sure that's what the Vikings in the Operas were singing about in the first place: how much they love candy. ;)
So grab your friends and solve the mystery! The Haunting of the Viking Opera will be at the Stage until June 11.
Until then...Waddle on!
Rockhopper's Coming!
Have you been to the Lighthouse lately? Should you feel like waddling there and going up to the Beacon, check out the telescope!! You may see a ship belonging to our very own Captain Rockhopper.
I'm not going to say too much, but I can tell you that from what I hear, he'll be bringing something extra special to the island this trip...
Have you ever had the chance to meet Rockhopper in Club Penguin? Let us know what you'd like to see him bring!
Until then...Waddle on!

Book Update!
Are you a current (or maybe future) member of the Penguin Secret Agency and want to know more about spy missions, gear, and gadgets? Do you love telling jokes? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to invent stuff in Club Penguin with Gary? Are you up on all the secrets on the island? For those of you, and for the whole Club Penguin community, we've got exciting news about some books!
Secret Agent Handbook, Waddle Lot of Laughs, The Inventor's Apprentice, The Ultimate Official Guide to Club Penguin, Igloo Makeover, Stowaway!, and Stuck on Puffles are now all available at book stores. And just like with a lot of the Club Penguin toys, some of the books will give you a special code and you'll be able to unlock items online!
We can't wait to hear what you think of them. And, as always, we'd love to know all the kinds of Club Penguin books you'd like to see!
Until then...Waddle on!

Ninja-Medieval! (& a contest coming)
Your combinations were too cool. The team was in awe of some of your ninja-medieval style mix-ups! Here's one really great one:
What do you think? We've even added 5,000 coins to their account for making us smile.
In other news: We've got new igloo furniture today! And start thinking ahead because there's going to be a Dojo igloo decorating contest coming up soon. I wanted to tell you early so if you're not already a ninja, you have time to get your black belt before the contest starts June 1. You'll see more info in the newspapers later in the month!! I'm not sure about you... but I've got some training to do!
Until then...Waddle on!

Screenhog's Mini-Medieval Guide
Hi everyone, it's Screenhog.
While you're off getting the golden armor from the ultra-cool Knight's Quest, remember to check out these other things from the Medieval Party!
*The lighthouse beacon has become a big bonfire!
*The mirror at the ski hill tries to answer your questions! Just ask your question and move your mouse over it!
*The second floor of the princess castle has a fountain with Koi in it... just remember to feed the fish!
*If you go to the Gift Shop market, you'll see a special Medieval Party catalog (including the player card background chosen by you).
*Medieval snowball fights in the Snow Forts! You don't see contraptions like that every day.
*The treetop fort in the Forest. Looks like some puffles have made their home in it.
*The huge, red dragon in the Mine. It's controlled by the Switchbox 3000.
*The Smithy where the Boiler Room was (if you can't find it, just ask a passing blacksmith).
*The Book Room has been turned into an old library, with scrolls everywhere!
*There's a bouncing wizard's hat in the lighthouse. If you haven't gotten your wizard's hat yet, I'm pretty sure it will give you one if you ask nicely.
In other news: It's time for Rockhopper to set sail from Walt Disney World in Florida! We hear that those of you who had the chance to meet him in person really enjoyed it. I'd say that our favorite pirate penguin will likely be sailing his Migrator ship to the island sometime soon...
Until next time, enjoy the party! And don't forget about the Viking Opera at the Stage!

New Furniture on Friday!
Hear ye! Hear ye! We're happy you're having so much fun at the Medieval Party. And there's more! There's a new furniture catalog that'll be delivered to ye olde igloo this Friday. So even when the party's officially done after May 17, ye can keep thee medieval spirit alive!
In other news: With the Card-Jitsu trading card announcement on Saturday, there's been some ninja buzz... and we thought that some creative ninja/medieval outfit combos (ninja knights, ninja princesses, and ninja dragons?) might be cool.
So whether you're a black-belted, already-defeated-Sensei ninja, or a hard working yellow belt, mix it up with some medieval and waddle around the island! We'll post a screenshot of a "medieval ninja" on Friday's blog.
Until then...Waddle on!

You Decided (a wig color)!
Hello Penguins!
Wow - you really wanted to decide that wig color! The whole team loved hearing from so many of you. Thanks so much for sharing your feedback!! After looking at all of the results from our English, French, and Portuguese speaking players, the winner was... BLUE!! Here's what it will look like in the June 5 Penguin Style catalog. Do you think you'll start saving your coins for it?
In other news: It's very cool to see all of you dressing up and getting creative in the spirit of the Medieval Party! I've seen herds of dragons and tons of snowballs being thrown at the Beacon. Tell us about the awesome things you and your friends are doing as ye explore olde Club Penguin.
Until then...Waddle on!
New Rockhopper and Bambadee backround!
Trading Cards for the UK (& new Puffle Deck)!
Hello Penguins!
We want to thank a LOT of you for your patience. The team's been working really hard to get the first set of Card-Jitsu™ trading cards to the UK and they'll be available there as early as next week! They'll even come with codes to enter in Club Penguin so you can build up your Card-Jitsu™ deck online!
We're always working on ideas for new cards - and we wanted to ask everyone about the kinds of things you'd like to see in future decks. Right now, in North American Toys'R'Us stores, there's a new, smaller set of puffle themed Card-Jitsu™ cards available.
Just like the first set, you'll be able to play with them at home, and also enter the cards online to help you along your ninja path.
Have fun playing!!
Until then...Waddle on!
